The tract reads as follows:
EternityWorld Without End
Have you ever wondered about eternity? We know that we will die someday. Whether by old age, sickness, or an abrupt halt to life, it’s inevitable that our life will end. So what happens next? Do we just stay in the ground like an animal? Or do we go somewhere when we die?
The dictionary defines eternity as the endless time following death. To be eternal is to last forever. The Bible says that God is eternal1 and that His ways are everlasting.2 The word everlasting means time out of mind.
Did you know that time will be no more? The Bible tells us in the book of Revelation that an angel will one day come down from heaven and declare that time should be no longer.
If there is no time what will eternity be like?
My friend, it is inevitable that we will one day exist eternally somewhere just as God exists eternally. The question to you is where will you spend Eternity?
Compared to eternity the Bible says that life on this earth is like a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.3
In 1991 Jason was racing a friend while under the influence of alcohol. His fifteen year old brother Aaron was riding with him. Before long Jason crashed killing his brother, and sending him into eternity.
Where did Aaron go? Or more importantly where will you go? The Bible states that there are two eternal places to go, Heaven or Hell.
The Bible says that there is none righteous, no not one.4 We are all sinners. That is, we all do things that have offended God. The Bible says that the payment for my sin is death; 5 according to God death is eternity in Hell.
The Bible tells a story in Luke 16 about two men; a rich man and a poor man. The poor man, Lazarus, believed God’s Word, but the rich man did not. The Bible says that as soon as the rich man died he lifted up his eyes being in torments. He was in Hell. He is still there today. There is no release once a person enters Hell.
In their November 5th, 2003 study on facts concerning the death penalty, the Death Penalty Information Center tells us that “since 1973, over 100 people have been released from death row with evidence of their innocence.” But the fact is, my friend, your sin must be punished. You are guilty of eternal death in Hell without parole, and you have done nothing to deserve eternal life.
But the Bible doesn’t end here. The Bible goes on to say that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.5 John 3:16 states that God loved us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die for our sins. By believing that He died for our sins we can have eternal life.
To exist in Heaven with God for all eternity you must:
1. Admit to God that you are a sinner
Romans 3:23 says, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
2. Realize that Jesus died for your sins
Romans 5:8 says But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
3. Believe on the Lord Jesus and receive Him as your Savior.
Romans 10:13 says, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If you would like to spend eternity with God in heaven
then pray this from your heart:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I know that I am a sinner. I ask you to forgive me for the things that I have done to offend you. Plese forgive me for the life that I have been living. I know that you sent your Son to die for my sins so that I don’t have to go to Hell. Please save me from my sins.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
