This is the central theme of our AWANA program. Our desire at Victory Baptist Church is to not only teach the word of God to each child who attends, but to also help them to understand what it means to serve Him.  James 1:22 says, "But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only." AWANA is a great discipleship program that makes learning fun for any child from the age of 3 through the 6th grade.  During "counsel time," the children learn the principles of the Bible through touching devotionals that are meant to teach them about God, and hopefully lead them to a saving knowledge of Him.  In their "handbook time," they learn the content of the Bible through memorization and simple, self-study lessons.  During the "game time," all of the kids just have fun.  Of course, we provide a controlled environment for this fun to make sure that no one gets hurt, but the goal of this time is to let the kids be kids.

 

Our trained workers want to teach your child about God's love and mercy, and if your child is already a Christian, we want to help him/her to walk more closely with Christ each day. Our AWANA program is on Wednesday nights (during the school year) from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm.  Bring your kids and let them join the fun as we "rightly divide the word of truth!"
